When going out to your car on a cold and frosty morning a lot of people will open the car start thee engine turn on the blower and the go round the car to scrap the windows clear!! Stop because the car has been standing in cold conditions the battery of the vehicle is at a low point. There is a possibility that while you are clearing the windows the car could lock it due to power spikes. If you want to avoid a visit from me to open your car just clear the driver’s window before closing the door and wind it half way down. This way if it does lock you can still gain entry.
UPVC Door Locks
Most houses have upvc doors fitted and of these there are some that have the facility to close and stop someone walking in behind you. This can work against you! If you leave a key inside the door then you could have trouble getting back in. the secret is to pull the key back one click if you are to leave a key in the rear of the lock.
Lots of us have a home safe and most of these are the digital code style. How often do you use this? A lot of us only use it for passports and some documents. If this is so how many of you have gone to get the item out and found the batteries flat? Well the safes usual have a signal to tell when the power is low. If you keep a set of batteries taped to the top of the safe and open the lock at least once a week ever if you don’t need to go in then the safe will let you know when to change those batteries and as you have them there you will always be able to get those valuables.
